# General Secretary Vacancy at National Employment Council for the Textile Manufacturing Industry - Bulawayo The **National Employment Council for the Textile Manufacturing Industry** is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of **General Secretary**, based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The Council is seeking a professional with strong leadership, administration, labour relations and organisational management skills. ## About the Position Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above position at the National Employment Council for Textile Manufacturing Industry. The Offices are situated in Bulawayo. The aspiring candidates must possess the following prerequisites: ## Qualifications and Experience - First degree from a recognized University or Institution. - A degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences or experience of work in the Textile Manufacturing Industry and a relevant master’s degree will be an added advantage. - Experience in organizational transformation initiatives, system operation and policy development. ## Requirements - To perform administration role of the Secretariat in line with the objective of the Council’s Constitution. - Applicant must be between the ages of 30 - 55 years. - Make all relevant arrangements for the holding of meetings as required by the Constitution and/or as directed by the Chairman. - A clean Class 4 driver’s license. ## Key Skills - Strong leadership skills. - Ability to interpret and implement Legislations and Labour policies. - Ability to manage and contain conflict within the sector. - Supervision of Designated Agents in Promoting, monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements. - Social dialogue promotion within the sector. ## Salary and Benefits The Council offers **competitive salary and benefits**. ## How to Apply Interested candidates should submit applications accompanied by detailed CVs.
