# TotalEnergies Cashier Job in Harare, Zimbabwe TotalEnergies Marketing Zimbabwe (Private) Limited is inviting applications for the position of **Cashier** in Harare, Zimbabwe. **Job Title:** Cashier **Job Location:** Harare, Zimbabwe - Auckland Road **Closing Date:** Apply early The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, posting journals, supporting reporting and controls, and responding to customer payment queries. ### Key Responsibilities #### Processing Customer Payments - Processing payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining a balanced cash register. - Booking customer payments. - Maintaining and filing supporting documents, including SAP receipts, cash receipts and cash receipt vouchers. - Performing daily reconciliation of cash receipts received, card payments processed and SAP postings recorded. - Following up and clearing unallocated deposits weekly for all banks. #### Matching - Matching cash guarantee accounts on a monthly basis. - Obtaining and following up on balance confirmations and matching instructions. - Compiling and sending matching instructions for banks to Treasury on a weekly basis. #### Posting of Journals - Raising adjustment journals for any misposted entries in banks. - Processing journals raised for adjustments in SAP timeously. - Processing card fees. - Raising and processing approved write-offs of small balances to maintain a clean debtor’s ledger every month. - Preparing and submitting integration files for posting. #### Reporting and Control - Providing reports on customer credit balances and ensuring credit balances above six months are cleared. #### Customer Service - Responding to queries raised by internal and external customers regarding payments. #### Compliance and Security - Adhering to company cash-handling policies and procedures. - Preventing losses by following security and fraud-prevention measures. - Ensuring confidential customer information is protected. ## Candidate Profile Candidates should have: - A degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field. - A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role. - Strong articulation, analytical and customer-oriented skills. - Self-motivation and the ability to work without supervision. - Team leadership skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Honesty, integrity and attention to detail. ## Scope of the Role The Cashier will be responsible for processing payment receipts for fuels, lubricants and rentals, covering approximately **4,000 accounts**. ## HSE and Integrity The successful candidate will be expected to constantly comply with TotalEnergies HSE policies and procedures.
