# External Project Management Consultant (Special Projects) Vacancy - Zimswitch Technologies **Zimswitch Technologies** is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of **External Project Management Consultant (Special Projects)**. The successful candidate will lead and support the planning, execution and delivery of strategic projects, providing project management expertise, stakeholder coordination and risk management to ensure successful project outcomes. ## Job Summary The Consultant is an independent expert expected to lead and support the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects. The role acts as a bridge between organizational goals and project implementation, through provision of objective guidance, domain expertise, and hands-on leadership to ensure successful outcomes. The role works in liaison with the internal Project Management Team, responsible for developing project plans, managing timelines and budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and engaged. They also identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and provide regular updates to senior leadership. The role will provide subject matter expertise, be responsible for Strategic Planning and Project Initiation, Project Oversight, Stakeholder Management, Risk and Quality Management, Change Management and Capacity Building and Closure and Post-Implementation Support. ## Education and Qualifications Applicants must possess the following qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related disciplines. - PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner. - Master’s degree in Project Management, MBA, MSc Information Systems or related field will be an added advantage. - Minimum of 7-10 years overall project management experience. - Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or PMI-ACP, ITIL certification, Training or certification in project governance, risk management or information security. - Experience in the financial services or payments industry will be an added advantage. ## Required Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following competencies: - Innovative and creative thinker. - Understanding of PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and relevant regulatory requirements. - Strong executive communication, vendor management, project governance, financial management and independent consulting capability. - High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality. ## How to Apply Interested and qualified candidates should submit their application letter and resume by email. - **Application Email: careers@zimswitch.co.zw** - **Email Subject:** Project Management Consultant Applicants should ensure that their applications are submitted before the closing date: **31 October 2026** **Source:** Zimswitch Technologies - Official Vacancy Advertisement.
