**DUE: 11 NOV 2026** **Community Nursing Officer** Mutare City Council **Job Summary** Plan and coordinate community health work programs Role: Supervisor Department: HEALTH Grade: 10 Experience: 3-5 years Reports To: Matron Community Vacancies: 3 Positions **Qualifications & Requirements** 5 “O” levels including Maths and English Diploma in Community Nursing Diploma in Registered General Nursing Any other post basic qualification will be an added advantage Valid practicing certificate A minimum of 3 years in a similar environment **Key Competencies** Ability to communicate effectively Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team Ability to handle pressure and work with minimum supervision **Key Responsibilities** Plan and coordinate community health work programs Conducts disease surveillance for the major childhood diseases i.e. Measles, Polio etc Assesses the quality of care being given by conducting patient interviews, reviewing patients’ records, questionnaires and suggestion boxes Monitors disease surveillance for early case detection and actioning Conduct health promotion activities (National Health events, Cancer days, Diabetic days etc.) through liaison with other interested departments and organization Attends and participates in multi-sectorial meetings and activities i.e. child welfare forum, home based care forum, civil protection Investigates suspected cases timely Performs any other duty that may be assigned from time to time **TO APPLY** Click here to apply
